Just Another Valentine~

Hey hey..I know it's been a while since that sweet lovey dovey day..anyway, today it's the Valentine day on the Chinese calender..So, Happy Chinese Valentine and Chap Goh Meh too!!
Planning to throw any oranges into the river??.I planned to throw a watermelon instead..the bigger the better eh??..Kaka..kidding la.Nah..not throwing any...rather eat it!..
Speaking of which...Ya, Valentine for me.. it's Just Another Valentine..It doesn't make a particular special meaning or what so ever to me for all these years..Well, maybe once or twice,but as long as I remember..I still don't have THAT impact Valentine yet!..Hmm...I wonder how long I've been single...It's like forever..haha..Ya..I heard it alot!..friends all keep complaining that I'm too picky, too cruel or whatever...Well, honestly even me myself doesn't know the real reason for being single that long!!..Maybe I'm too used to being single??Maybe phobia to relationship??..Maybe I haven't found the right one who could sweep my feet off the floor??..The possibilities are infinity!..and I just don' know!



Honestly, who doesn't want to be cared and pampered???..Who doesn't want a person who can share your everything, and being there for you no matter what happen??..Who doesn't want a person that will treat you like a princess (or prince) and having someone that you can rely on when u needed someone??
HONESTLY..WHO DOESN'T WANT TO BE LOVED??!!!



I'm just a normal girl who's searching for the same thing like everybody else!..Nah, I'm not talking about desperate and miserable of being single here..I'm talking about hope and faith here..Although being single for quite sometime,I still have high hope on my future "PRINCE CHARMING"..and faith (hopefully..haha) that I will be happily in love with the right guy!!..Just waiting for the right time, right guy and the right feel!..I believe in miracle!..Well, for the time being, I'll enjoy single and love every single one of you, my dears and darlings!!..Love u all!.Muuuuaaccks!

My Valentine's Day

Being a single lady makes me doesn't care much for Valentine's Day..it's not like I have to think what to buy for my "darling" until my head blast!..And people might feel lonely during this love day,especially singles!..But, let me tell you something, my past Valentines' were never dull or lonely..In fact, they were filled with lots and lots of love and fun than anyone could have ever imagine!

That is when I realized there are actually more than couples love..There are love between friendship, family or even your pet!..So every year on the 14 Feb, I'll share my love with my friends and family instead of selfishly (sort of) focusing on a guy..Therefore, on every Valentine's Day, I minus the loneliness, add happiness, multiply my love and divide it to everyone!..Generous me, eh?

So, enough of the prologue! This year Valentine focus is no other than the movie Valentine's Day!..I mean look at the list of cast!..The love in that movie sure make you gasp for more air!..Hmm, if I were to choose a star cast from the movie to spend my Valentine with, it would be Anne Hathaway!...Well, most girl might go for Taylor Lautner or Ashton Kutcher (or any hottie in the cast), but I think I would rather spend my Valentine with someone that would give me a cozy and warm feeling without being awkward. Besides, seeing an ugly duckling in Princess Dairies turn into a beautiful gorgeous woman is definitely a hope and miracle every girl wished for! She's cute, charming, mesmerizing and confident!..Spending the day with her is like having the most beautiful BFF ever and she looks like someone who will join me doing all the silly girly stuff!,,Sleep over nights, waking each other up in the morning, being the fashion guru for one another, share ice-cream and cakes, exchange BFF charms, check out cuties at a neighborhood cafe, shop until drop!..What more could a girl ask for on Valentine??..Her beautiful smile already enough to make my day!



Someone who'll always be there supporting you regardless of anything, who can share and keep all your secrets, someone who'll cry and laugh with you, someone who know you way better than you ever know yourself, who can tell every single pieces of you!

A BFF's love is what a need for a perfect 2010 Valentine! ( and of course, the Nuffnang Premiere Screening – Valentine’s Day tickets too to make the day even more special!)

Talking about Christmas, it definitely reminds me of presents of course!!!..haha..and boy...I have a whole long list of "MY X'MAS WISH LIST!!"...anyone want to fulfill my wishes???


So aside of gifts, here, I want to share another X'mas tradition with you...The Mistletoe!



Have you ever heard the tradition to KISS UNDER THE MISTLETOE???..the custom of exchanging a kiss under the mistletoe sounds great right??..haha
Mistletoe is a plant commonly used as a Christmas decoration...So, the tradition was..any male and female could exchange kisses under the mistletoe as a sign of be it love, friendship or family. So how does the story originate???




The Legend : For its supposedly mystical power mistletoe has long been at the center of many folklore. One is associated with the Goddess Frigga. The goes that Mistletoe was the sacred plant of Frigga, goddess of love and the mother of Balder, the god of the summer sun. Balder had a dream of death which greatly alarmed his mother, for should he die, all life on earth would end. In an attempt to keep this from happening, Frigga went at once to air, fire, water, earth, and every animal and plant seeking a promise that no harm would come to her son. Balder now could not be hurt by anything on earth or under the earth. But Balder had one enemy, Loki, god of evil and he knew of one plant that Frigga had overlooked in her quest to keep her son safe. It grew neither on the earth nor under the earth, but on apple and oak trees. It was lowly mistletoe. So Loki made an arrow tip of the mistletoe, gave to the blind god of winter, Hoder, who shot it , striking Balder dead. The sky paled and all things in earth and heaven wept for the sun god. For three days each element tried to bring Balder back to life. He was finally restored by Frigga, the goddess and his mother. It is said the tears she shed for her son turned into the pearly white berries on the mistletoe plant and in her joy Frigga kissed everyone who passed beneath the tree on which it grew. The story ends with a decree that who should ever stand under the humble mistletoe, no harm should befall them, only a kiss, a token of love. What could be more natural than to translate the spirit of this old myth into a Christian way of thinking and accept the mistletoe as the emblem of that Love which conquers Death? Its medicinal properties, whether real or imaginary, make it a just emblematic of that Tree of Life, the leaves of which are for the healing of the nations thus paralleling it to the Virgin Birth of Christ.

From this has seemingly come the ancient custom of hanging a ball of mistletoe from the ceiling and exchanging kisses under it.
